Free style is a good summation of the way this drawing came about.
I cannot recall erasing a single mark, with the exception of some lines around the fingers.
I was working loose and fast and got lucky that the drawing fit on the page the way it did. As I often do, I was partly watching/listening to television at the time, with the paper on my lap. This informal environment often leads to my most satisfying work.
